Making Pumpkin Soup

The EYFS children loved reading Pumpkin Soup by Helen Cooper which inspired us to make our own pumpkin soup. The children wrote a list of the ingredients we needed before all working together to scoop out and cut up the pumpkin and onions. Great team work. It was delicious!

As part of our learning about ourselves, the EYFS children talked about how they celebrate their birthdays. They then planned their own party for the classroom, using their emergent writing skills to write a list of what would be needed. They helped to decorate the classroom before getting changed into their best party clothes. They had so much fun playing party games and eating party food!
