E-Twinning Art.
Over the past few months, the year 5 children have been working children from a school in Dublin to learn:
- Where they come from?
- What is life like in their city/country?
- How is life different in Dublin?
As part of the work, children have been communicating via the children's social media app 'SeeSaw' and have also completed artwork in matched pairs that have been sent between both schools - take a look on the following link:

A tribute to Stephen Hawking
Today, children from Diamond class asked if they could make a tribute to Professor Stephen Hawking. The children worked incredibly hard and sensitively and produced this video:

Thought provoking animations
As part of our recent writing assessment we completed work based on two particularly interesting videos:
- 'The Silent Child' (recent Oscar winner)
- 'Mega City'
What are your thoughts about the videos?
How do they make you feel?
What do they make you want to do?
What value do they encourage?

We had a great visit to Monks Wood today!
We walked across the fields from Scothern to Monks Wood, we spotted lots of amazing sights along the way. After a tour of the site and its points of interest, we headed back to school! Some of us were so tired we had to have a little rest!
This is a 'World Mapper' task we have worked on to help us identify population patterns in different countries. Can you complete the tasks?
We had great fun creating Stop-Motion animations as part of Roald Dahl day!
