Computing

We have been learning how to make tally charts and pictograms. Today we made a pictogram on our ipads. We worked out which fruit is the most popular in our class.

In Computing the children were given some pictures to sort. They grouped them together and gave them a label. They learned computers need labels to group pictures together and that you would need to label a picture for the computer to know what it is.

Learning about the Great Fire of London

History – We are learning about the Great Fire of London. The buildings were made out of wood and the buildings were very close together.

Computing

The children learned to log onto the ipads and then have a ‘tinker’ on the beebot app. They showed resilience and perseverance when it became a bit tricky.

We had a fantastic time learning about our new topic, Brrr it’s cold! We made penguins, we made snowflakes and we explored ice and created scenes with the animals. We talked about which animals we thought lived in the Arctic or Antarctic.
