Our debate about the Space Race

The start of term

The start of term has been busy in Curiosity class! We have created spaceships in Forest School, using all of the natural resources we could gather. The pupils have created some fabulous fact sheets for our display boards in class all about Space – which they have taken too with real enthusiasm. We were also luck enough to be invited onto a digital session with SF Said, the author of TYGER! He gave us some inspiration and drafting tips that we will remember going forward with our own writing (especially thinking about drafting and editing). Our Into the Unknown topic has allowed us to explore our solar system – this last week we took an in-depth look at the day/night cycle and how the Earth’s rotation affects the time of day depending on where we are on the planet.
