What is the Local Offer?
Lincolnshire's Local Offer is a public facing information service, hosted by Lincolnshire County Council on behalf of the Local Area Partnership, providing clear, comprehensive, accessible and up-to-date information about the available provision for special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) in the local area and how to access it.
The Local Offer is not simply a directory of existing services. It's success depends as much upon full engagement with the users as it does on the information it contains.
The aim is to meet the information needs of families living in Lincolnshire, as well as supporting professionals who may be directly working with families across the county.
Key Features of the SEND Local Offer
Lincolnshire's Local Offer brings together information for children and young people with SEND and their families. It has a wide range of information for families, including eligibility for childcare, where to start with special educational needs and disabilities, wellbeing advice, support with education, preparing for adulthood and upcoming events with the Lincolnshire Parent Carer Forum.
Alongside the Local Offer is the Family Services Directory, which provides information about available services in your local area such as childcare, support groups, charities, education providers, Children's Centre activities and other leisure opportunities.
Lincolnshire's Local Offer and the Family Services Directory are both maintained and developed by Lincolnshire County Council on behalf of the Local Area Partnership and sit co-adjacent on the council's website for ease of access.
Co-production
The Local Offer also ensures provision in responsive to local needs and aspirations by directly involving young people with special educational needs and their parents and carers, and service providers in its development and review.

Contacting the SENCO
Mrs Carter, Our SENCO, holds SEND drop-in sessions most Tuesdays between 9 and 10am. If you would like to book a 20 minute appointment to speak to Mrs Carter then please contact Mrs Patrick in the school office.
Special Educational Needs (SEN) - Complaints
If you want to complain about our Academy’s SEN support, you should do so whilst your child is still registered at Ellison Boulters CE Primary Academy
This includes complaints that the Academy has not provided the support required by your child’s SEN statement or education, health and care (EHC) plan.
How to Make a complaint
Follow these steps in order.
Move on to the next step if your complaint is not resolved.
- Talk to the Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator (SENDCO).
- Follow the school's complaints procedure which can be found here
- Complain directly to the Education Funding Agency.
