School Closure
There may be an occasion when the weather is so severe, e.g. very heavy snowfall, that for the health and safety of pupils and staff, the school will be closed. This is likely to be a very rare event. When exceptionally severe weather conditions are forecast for the whole authority and the Police are recommending that only essential journeys should be made, the Head and the Chair of Governors may make the decision to close the school.
The school will communicate with the parents to advise if the school is to be closed.
For updates and information regarding the closure and any further closure days, parents will be asked to:
- Check the school website
- Listen to the local radio stations
When the school is closed, work will be set on SeeSaw.
SeeSaw
At Ellison Boulters, we use SeeSaw as an online learning platform that can be accessed in school and at home.
The SeeSaw App can be downloaded onto most devices and phones and also accessed via browsers on computers and laptops.
At the beginning of each academic year you will be provided with the class login details for your child's current class.
If you have any problems accessing SeeSaw then please contact your child's class teacher.
