EYFS/Y1: Helpful Hippos - Miss Lancaster
Tweets by EBCEAcademyYR1The Helpful Hippos have loved exploring the Santa’s workshop area, wrapping shapes and writing Christmas lists and letters. They have also been sharing Christmas stories with their friends and doing some Christmas themed maths. A particular highlight for the Helpful Hippos has been making melted snowman biscuits.
Coins The children enjoyed sorting the different coins and talking about their value. They also created some fantastic pictures with all the coins. They also had to guess which coins were hidden in the feely bags and create a list of all the different coins they had found.
The Helpful Hippos have loved exploring the outdoor area in their Forest School sessions. They have had lots of fun working together as a team and furthering their learning outdoors. They have also had the opportunity to learn lots of new skills.
Our new reading den has been very popular with the Helpful Hippos. They have enjoyed exploring the new books and sharing stories with their friends. The Helpful Hippos have also loved voting for the story they want to have at the end of the day.
