The children have loved investigating the autumn treasures in the classroom. They have then used these natural artefacts to create fabulous patterns and art pictures as well as using them to practise their counting skills. The children also enjoyed a lovely walk around Scothern, looking for signs of Autumn.
In class we have been reading ‘We’re Going on a Bear Hunt’. The children have been really creative in their responses to this story showing us their fabulous counting, mark-making, role-play, drawing and painting skills.
The Clever Caterpillars have made a fantastic start to life at Ellison Boulters. They have enjoyed exploring their new surroundings and making new friends.

In our class Collective Worship this morning, we shared this delightful story about how you can become "bucket fillers" and make others feel happy. It was lovely to then see the children paying each other compliments and making their friends smile :)
