Our trip to Lincoln Castle

The children were very excited to spend the day at Lincoln Castle learning about it's history. We had fun shooting with bows and arrows, went on a fabulous walk around the castle walls, made our own sheilds and then took part in a marvellous medieval banquet.  As one of the children said "It's the best school trip ever!"

Making and labelling castles

The children worked together in small groups to make their own castles and label the different parts. 

Digital Pictures

Inspired by the artist Piet Mondrian, the children created their own abstract artwork using the shape and fill tools on Paintz.

Ordering Objects and Numbers

The children used classroom resources to order numbers and objects from greatest to smallest and smallest to largest as well as identify the greatest and smallest amounts in sets.

Self Portraits

The children learnt how to use the different tools in Paintz to create their own self-portraits.

Greater than, less than and equal to

The children loved using the classroom resources to show their understanding of greater than, less than and equal to.

Investigating Ramps and Bridges

The children loved using cars when creating their own ramps and bridges in the outdoor area today. Such great team work on display.

Tatty Ratty

In English we have been reading the wonderful story 'Tatty Ratty' by Helen Cooper. The children created scenes from the story whilst in provision.

Helping Mr Campling

Mr Campling, our wonderful School Caretaker, has been busy redeveloping some of outdoor area. The children were very keen to help him! 

Making Bikes in Forest School

In History we have been learning about the Penny Farthing bike from the Victorian era. The children created their own interpretation of a Penny Farthing using natural resources.

Reading and Writing Numbers

In Maths, the children have been learning to recognise number words to 10.

Sorting Objects

In Maths we have been sorting by colour, type and size.
