Carbon Ambassadors

The Carbon Ambassadors at Ellison Boulters Church of England Academy are: Jessica, Maisie, Freya and Lucy

Their responsibilities include:

  • Deciding which class is the 'Carbon-Friendly Class of the Week', using strict criteria!
  • Creating and implementing an action plan with their carbon-friendly ideas for the school.
  • Running our ‘Switch Off Day’
  • Running competitions.
  • Carbon-saving ideas projects around the school

On Friday 21st November Ellison Boulters Church of England Academy will be taking part in:

‘The Lincolnshire Schools Switch-Off Challenge’

This challenge is a fun and easy way to get the whole school involved in reducing our carbon footprint, whilst helping us to think about how we use energy and the changes we can make to reduce our energy consumption both at school and at home. We will be be recording the electricity and gas usage on a normal day compared to a day when we ‘SWITCH OFF’.

Watch this space for the results!

During Awareness Week (Monday 17th November- Friday 21st November) we will also be taking part in many activities across the school to raise our awareness in other important areas such as E-Safety and Bullying.
